The National Service-Learning Conference®

March 22-24, 2027

Don't just attend. Be part of what's next.

March 22-24, 2027 Minneapolis, MN

The National Service-Learning Conference® is where educators, youth leaders, community partners, and changemakers come together to turn service into meaningful learning, leadership, and lasting community impact.

For more than three decades, the National Service-Learning Conference has brought together people who believe young people are not simply the leaders of tomorrow—they are leaders today. The conference is a place to learn from one another, discover new approaches, celebrate what’s working, and return home inspired and equipped to create change.

Whether you are new to service-learning or have been doing this work for years, you’ll leave with practical strategies, fresh ideas, new relationships, and renewed energy for engaging young people in meaningful service and civic action.

Why Attend?

  • Learn what’s working. Explore innovative approaches to service-learning, youth leadership, civic engagement, and youth voice that you can put into practice right away.
  • Be inspired by young leaders. Hear directly from young people who are leading change in their schools, communities, and beyond—and learn what it takes to create authentic opportunities for youth leadership.
  • Build your network. Connect with educators, nonprofit leaders, community partners, students, and practitioners from across the country who share your commitment to service and social change.
  • Take home practical tools. Gain resources, strategies, and ideas you can bring back to your classroom, organization, school, or community.
  • See service-learning in action. Experience youth showcases and real-world examples that demonstrate the power of young people to identify challenges, mobilize others, and create solutions.
  • Grow as a leader. Strengthen your own leadership practice while learning alongside people who are reimagining what service, education, and civic engagement can look like.
  • Find your people. Build relationships with a national community of people who believe that service should be meaningful, learning should lead to action, and young people should have a seat—and a voice—in shaping their communities.

More Than a Conference

The National Service-Learning Conference is more than a few days of workshops and presentations. It’s a community, a catalyst, and a spark for what comes next.

You’ll encounter new ideas. You’ll meet people who challenge your thinking. You’ll hear stories that remind you why this work matters. And you’ll leave with the inspiration and tools to help young people move from learning to leadership and from service to lasting change.

Come ready to learn. Come ready to connect. Come ready to be inspired. Come ready to lead.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Thank you to our sponsors and partners!

"As a first-time attendee, I found the conference to be fantastic. The breakout sessions and workshops were incredibly insightful, many packed with valuable resources."

-2025 Conference Attendee

“The conference showed me that I'm not alone in the work I'm doing, although it can feel that way as the sole person at my school focused on this. It also taught me how accessible service-learning can be when done well."
