Supporting student success through afterschool programs.
We are committed to providing high-quality afterschool service-learning experiences that help young people develop skills and confidence that will help them find success in school and in life.
We assist State Afterschool Networks in identifying the information needed to build a sustainable model for service-learning integration that will increase the quantity and quality of service-learning experiences for young people. Selected states received funding, technical support, and trainings so that service-learning becomes a sustainable and systematic part of afterschool learning.

Pathways to Impact: Service-Learning as a Catalyst for State Afterschool Networks
We are proud to announce the release of our latest report, “Pathways to Impact: Service-Learning as a Catalyst for State Afterschool Networks.” This comprehensive report sheds light on the transformative power of service-learning as a strategy for engaging youth in afterschool programs across the country.
The report, which draws from our work with 14 members of the 50 State Afterschool Network, provides case studies, lessons learned, and highlights how four State Afterschool Networks — Tennessee Afterschool State Network, TXPOST, OregonASK, and Pennsylvania Statewide Afterschool/Youth Development— have successfully leveraged service-learning to empower and engage youth in meaningful ways.
