The Youth as Solutions Film Festival features a curated collection of short films created by youth leaders documenting how they are addressing real challenges in their communities through service-learning and civic engagement.

Not all service-learning is created equal. A canned food drive checks a box; a well-designed service-learning experience changes how students see themselves and their communities. This workshop walks participants through the core elements that separate surface-level volunteering from real service-learning, intentional connection to academic standards, authentic community partnership, structured reflection, and measurable impact.
