Mentorship has always been framed as something that flows in one direction: from older to younger. But leadership does not have an age restriction. This session challenges the traditional mentor/mentee model, exploring what happens when we redefine mentorship around lived experience rather than years lived. 

Join us to learn what it actually takes to build partnerships where young people and older adults learn from each other as equals. Panelists will unpack how peer-to-peer networks are reshaping the way young leaders can find support, and how cross-generational relationships can move beyond advice-giving into genuine collaboration. Youth attendees will leave with a new framework for thinking about who they can learn from and lead alongside, plus concrete ideas for building the kind of intergenerational networks that fuel long-term leadership growth.
