Written to complement our Engage handbooks, NYLC presents a series of resources guides topically focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This first of eight guides has peace-building writ large as its focus. Middle and high school students move through an exploration of how they cultivate inner peace, to how they foster peace within a group through team-building activities, to exploring peace-building needs in their communities, and discovering resources before taking action. The session plans are designed to take approximately an hour each, and the guide spans 14 sessions, by which point young people will have not only taken action but also shared their experiences with others.
