Rooted in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, this handbook is focused on gender equality. Middle and high school students build a team among themselves, then investigate their communities (defined as narrowly as a school or site or broadly as a neighborhood or community) to discover relevant local actions tied to the global need for equal rights for all. The session plans are designed to take approximately an hour each, and the guide spans 13 sessions, by which point young people will have not only taken action, but also shared their experiences with others.
