Good intentions aren’t enough to build programs that actually work, evidence is. This session looks at how research moves from the page into practice, turning data and findings into programs that genuinely meet young people’s needs. Featuring university partners working alongside nylc, the conversation explores how evidence shapes program design, what it takes to translate academic research into real-world tools, and why the strongest youth programs are the ones built on a foundation of evidence, not assumption. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how to bring a research mindset into their own work, asking better questions, testing what works, and building programs that hold up under scrutiny.
