NYLC values your privacy and takes specific steps to protect the users of our websites. This Privacy Policy governs the collection, use, disclosure and protection of the personally identifiable information that you share with us in interactions with our websites. By using this website, you agree to abide by the Usage Agreement, and any other usage agreements or terms of use applied to our specific websites, and accept and acknowledge this Privacy Policy.

We may collect personally identifiable information from you, such as your name, school or organization affiliation, position, address and/or geographical location, demographic information and email address when you interact with our websites to sign up for e-mail newsletters, create an account on one of our community sites or make purchases.

When you create an account on one of our community websites, such as the Generator School network (“GSN”), we may also display some of your user profile information to other users. For those under 18 years of age, we generally do not knowingly display your zip code, age or demographic information particular to your school or organization.  However, providing that additional profile information helps us to better understand how our websites are being used, so we can make them better. Our websites that require users to create accounts and provide profile information also allow you to update and/or delete your profile information on those sites.

We may also collect other information when you visit our websites, such as your computer’s Internet protocol (“IP”) address, your browser and operating system, the date and time of your visit, and data based on your use of our websites. We collect this information to maintain and enhance the performance and services of our websites.

How We Share the Information We Collect

We do not share the personally identifiable information we collect from you other than with partner organizations that assist us in carrying out the business of NYLC. We do not sell, rent or otherwise share personal information with other third parties except as described in this Privacy Policy.

If you have created an account on one of our community websites or requested one or more of our e-mail newsletters, from time to time, we may send you email notifications to provide you with those newsletters or other information concerning updates or enhancements to our services, account issues or service-related announcements.
