Youth4Education is a youth-led campaign to advance education equity through service-learning. Lead Activists for Youth4Ed have the opportunity to attend our summer leadership training, where they will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to lead their own service-learning projects in their community. Training will be held July 10-15, 2016. Upon returning home, Lead Activists are then expected to recruit 6-10 peers to help complete a quality service-learning project that advances education equity, with support from NYLC. Candidates must be enrolled in high school or pursuing a GED during the 2016-2017 school year. More information and the application can be found here.

Our YAC is a group of young leaders in the service-learning community. Members are devoted to promoting youth leadership, service-learning, and education equity. A YAC term is a two-year commitment during which members advise NYLC programs and participate in various activities, including the Youth4Ed campaign and the National Service-Learning Conference®. YAC will have a full, intentional partnership within the organization and opportunities for personal and professional development. Applicants must be enrolled as an incoming high school freshman starting Fall 2016 up through a college/university freshman. The application and more information for YAC can be found here.

Application materials for both Lead Activists and the YAC are due May 1, 2016. Get working on those apps! We look forward to hearing from you.
